Hooptie Do 4 Heart Disease (HD4HD) 2014 Event Details
The 2014 Hooptie Do 4 Heart Disease will be held in the Rose Garden parking lot of the Springhill Medical Center located at 3719 Dauphin Street in beautiful and historic Mobile, Alabama 36608. The Rose Garden parking lot is located on the southeast side of the Springhill Medical Center complex, behind the main cluster of hospital buildings near the hospital auditorium just off the I-65 service road between Dauphin Street and Airport Boulevard.
The event will start promptly at 6-630ish...we're not going to turn you away because you show up a few minutes early! And we promise this year's event will be every bit as good as last year's event, if not better...and last year's event was GREAT! We raised over $25,000.00 to help fight heart disease and we need your help to raise even more this year.
The night will start with a Seafood Feast Fit for a Beast and includes your beverages, so come hungry, get thirsty, and prepare to win some great prizes and one-of-a-kind silent auction items and raffles all night long, with two great ways to purchase raffle tickets: 2 raffle tickets for just a $1.00 or as many as your Arm Stretch length for just $20.00. And you will want to get in on the action - the Grand Prize Raffle Drawing this year will be for a 7 day cruise for 2 to the Western Caribbean courtesy of Springdale Travel and Norwegian Cruise Lines!
We are also excited to bring the unique Harley-Davidson JumpStart Rider Experience to this year's event courtesy of Mobile Bay Harley-Davidson. This "hands on" demo will give you the opportunity to ride a real Harley-Davidson motorcycle with no experience required.
There will be a really cool car show by the Gulf Coast Hot Rodders and music will be live all night courtesy of Grits n' Pieces, both are Mobile favorites. If you haven't seen a Hot Rodders Car Show or heard Grits n' Pieces, you should, and both are included with every ticket.
And let's not forget to mention Vee's Beer Garden. New this year, honoring the memory of Vetrice Diemert, Vee's Beer Garden will offer a bottomless, collectible pilsner glass filled with your choice of beer or wine for just $10 and you get to keep the pilsner glass. The pilsner glass is a seven color LED marvel of modern science, and that's before you put anything in it. Don't miss out - be sure to get your tickets today!
The dress code, if you could call it that, is "deep south summer night whatever makes you feel good comfortable". We know we are hosting this event outdoors, under a big top tent on a typical Friday evening in lower Alabama, so feel free to come as dressed up, or down, as you need so that you can enjoy the night, the music, the fun, and what's left of the sun.
